I can't praise this little game enough: cool art, engaging puzzles and a unique style If you like relaxed puzzle games/graphic adventures, this should be on your shopping list (it's a must-have title for any laid-back lounge lizards with a fondness for weed).

I have yet to see anything quite like it. Apparently the same people made Samorost and Samorost 2, but I have no knowledge of either of these titles so I can't comment.

It does remind me a bit of the humour and gameplay of Grim Fandango.

It's pretty expensive for what it is. There are lots of games like this that are free flash games, so it's hard to justify $20 for the same type of thing.

The price was a bit steep, but I loved the combination of art and music too much to say no. If you didn't enjoy those aspects from the demo, then, yeah, I guess I would have to agree you.

BTW, you can purchase the game off of the developer's website and get the full soundtrack with it.

This is the biggest draw in my opinion. I plan on getting the game eventually, when I have the chance to play through the pile I already have.

If it was $9.99 I'd get it for my wife in a second, but for $20 as stated by gorcorps there are plenty of free games like or near this.

IMHO, the puzzles in this game are way too hard. I have to play that silly mini game every time to understand what must be done, and eventually playing the same damn minigame every time gets extremely frustrating.

I have to agree...I got the game and the first couple levels were challenging but do-able...after that the levels are like..."umm...wtf am I supposed to do here?"...

Excellent art, design, audio...but the puzzles are just too far out there with no direction on what you are supposed to accomplish in each level.

On sale for $9.95 at the Direct2Drive holiday sale for another 12 hours. I picked it up to play on the laptop. Amazing game if you enjoy the point and click puzzler type games.

Also you can get this and Samorost 2, and the soundtrack at the developers website for $10 until Dec 25 - nice stocking stuffer?

Awesome game. The artwork is truly outstanding, as is the soundtrack.

I ordered the $10 Christmas Pack from Amanita (http://machinarium.com) and it's honestly the best $10 I've ever spent on a game. Two great games plus both soundtracks. I'm listening to the soundtrack for Machinarium right now as I type this.

Yeah, I just picked up the Christmas pack (Samorost 2, Machinarium, both soundtracks, and artwork pack) for $10.

I must say, I just finished Samorost 2 and it was quite interesting, I really enjoyed it.
It was pretty short (about two hours), that would be my only complaint.

I sure hope Machinarium is quite a bit longer, the file size looks to be a lot bigger.
