Fair enough. I do think he is an upgrade over what Arizona currently has but I think the price paid was too steep. I guess it remains to be seen.
God this is a buggy piece of shit. My favorite so far is that nearly no kick "looks" like it goes through the uprights. They all look like they go too short. Even better, kicking from ranges where a given kicker "Usually" can make it, with 99% power and dead on accuracy... nope. Short.
Commentary bugs - why are the announcers referring to the "Defense making the completion for a first down"? There's a ton of similar issues.
Menus stutter and hang often.
I installed to the HDD and things seem better, but still run into points where it will just run an animation for ~30 seconds before letting me do anything.
What else I got... let's see... oh yeah, players walking through blocks like they're not even there. Way too long of a throwing motion on most QBs. The ball being thrown well out of bounds on sideline/out routes even before the receiver makes his cut.
The eyes!!! Oh my god the eyes... looks like I'm playing with a team full of zombies.
And Rex Ryan looks FAR more palatable in the game than he does in real life.
It's really a fucking joke, isn't it? A game that is this popular, that makes this much money, should have the funds available to make sure it's not buggy as hell. It's a travesty and just fucking pisses me off. Correct me if I am wrong here, but the overtime rules are if the coin-flip winning team goes down and kicks a FG, then the other team gets 1 possession correct?
Well I think Madden 12 F's that up. My son just played to a regulation tie. Carolina won the toss, marched down, kicked a FG and game over.
In a regular season NFL overtime game, the first team that scores wins, even if the other team does not get a possession; this is referred to as sudden death. However, in a post-season NFL game during the playoffs, if the first team with possession scores only a field goal, the other team is allowed the opportunity to match or better this score. This rule only affects playoff games in overtime in which the first team with possession scores a field goal: if the first team with possession scores a touchdown, the sudden death rules take effect
