Trump’s policies are un-American.
His Administration is filled with people who are set on destroying the post-WWII legacy of American hegemony promoting liberal democracies that, while not perfect, has largely maintained the peace in the Western Hemisphere and Europe.
So why can’t his critics just call them out as being un-American? Why is that so hard to point to so many examples in our history—lessons learned from Dredd Scott, the Civil War, Ellis Island, Japanese internment camps, McCarthyism just to name a few—to show what America is SUPPOSED to be??
It shouldn’t be this hard to call them out and then send them packing. We shouldn’t have to wait for examples like this before we find the courage to call a spade a spade and say nothing about MAGA is “American” or “great”.

It’s easy to be cynical and say this is nothing new—in fact we’ve deported 95,000 veterans since Clinton signed the crime bill and the last major immigration reform act in 1996. But it shouldn’t take this long for the lesson to seep in. This isn’t making America stronger. It makes us look pathetic. And now we’ve added cruelty to the mix as well.
