It seems like an asinine question at first. Iron Man, by his very name, utilizes ferrous metal!
But this is a bright group of knowledgeable folks; Is there any reasonable way that an equally prepared Magneto could ever lose to Iron Man?
Magneto and Ironman have already fight before where Ironman wore a supposed to be non-ferrous and anti-Magneto suit, yet Magneto was still able to beat Ironman.
Besides, Magneto has already demonstrated manipulation with non-ferous substances including ice and carbon sch as when he manipulate Marrow’s.
Did any of you guys actually watch the first Iron Man movie? They clearly state in the movie that 'technically, its not Iron. Its a gold-titanium allow . . .'
Wikipedia says pure gold is not magnetic and titanium is only paramagnetic. The bulk of Tony's classic armor would be only slightly effected by Magneto at all, though there's likely circuit pathways Magneto could futz with. If he was precise enough.
Lets not forget that Tony Stark is a genius, if he were going into a fight with the Master of Magnetism, I'd expect he'd take precautions. Carbon fiber armor, etc.
The Punisher does that from time to time. How come we don't just shoot Magneto in the face with a lead bullet? A lot of these heroes would just be ended quickly and quietly by a marksman with a rifle. :/
The Punisher does that from time to time.
forget the armor; attack the arc reactor before the writers update it to a non-magnetic material.
this is asinine. no one can beat magneto at his prime.
Just because he is called iron man does not mean his suit is largely iron based. I am thinking exotic light weight high strength alloys. That being said a strong enough magnetic field can interact with a variety of materials. Have you seen the levitating frog video?
