That sort of BS is why I never got into "graphic novels." Many different writers working on the same projects with the same names means there is no telling whether you're going to get a masterpiece or... that.

While I have to admit I am fascinated by the whole comic book superheros thing, the lack of consistent powers and power levels is disturbing and makes any kind of hypothetical fight pointless

If youre gonna make a hero, give him a set of powers and STICK WITH THEM, dont change them whenever you feel like

Thats why comic universes escalate to the absurd... Stuff like Galactus and anything of that level is already retarded, but then they somehow manage to come up with another handful of characters that trash him? Are you serious?

I hope they manage to keep the power levels in check with the movies... Im curious how they will handle Thanos in Avengers 2, Im guessing they wont touch stuff like Infinity Gauntlet, to stop it from getting ridiculous

While I agree that Wolverine's power keeps getting augmented every time I turn around, that clip was different. The crystal behind him augmented his power a billion fold. It wasn't explained really well in the annual that was from, but the crystal reshaped reality.

Haha, it sounded weird when I was thinking it, but it's true! I feel like getting into these comic book storylines is a real commitment since they have different writers, different artists, crossovers, etc, etc. With a novel I can just pick it up and read it without having to read an instruction manual first.

My solution of how to deal with what goes on in the comic book world is to remain settled on the fact that the storylines cease to exist about he time I stopped reading them...so ~1994. Everything after that was just written by childish amateurs.

(I imagine this kinda thing works for those that stopped reading in whatever previous decades)
