My girlfriend has a 1.4 TB and it has a coolermaster fan that is rated 38DB she is complaining that it's to damn loud anyone got some good ideas to silent it down or seal up this case to make it quieter?
Replace the fan with a Panaflow or Antec stealth and get a Zalman power supply. You could also get sound-absorbent foam or cushioning, but it would increase heat inside the case.
I'm not looking to buy a new cpu fan though or power supply I just upgraded it as it is so I was looking for a way to just quiet it down the heat isn't an issue the fans will kick out enough what's this foam or abosorbent?
Foam designed to quiet a case will generally cost you more than a new fan. What size fan are you using? Keep in mind that the 1.4 tbird is one of the hottest running desktop CPUs ever made and will require a decent cooler.

Just get a thermalright, swiftech, or alpha hs with a panaflo and you will have a cool and quiet solution. If you really don't want to buy another hs, then you can try 7 volting the 60mm fan, although that will noticably reduce the airflow.
