Making money from YouTube videos

Hello all
I have a few questions about YouTube. If you can answer any of them I would be grateful. Thanks.
I was interested in making $ from YouTube videos. IIUC, you can make about 1$ for every 1000 views a video gets. The only limits are that there must be no copyright violation, gross moral, or criminal activity.
So for example, this mom who is posting video of her kids presenting new toys:
http://www.youtube.com/user/potemi926/featured
has made over $200,000 in total off the video views (229,624,736)? Is this correct?

Side question, not money related, but is it possible to set up for example 3 discrete YouTube accounts or "channels" (or whatever the lingo is) that are completely separate with no links whatsoever? The idea is people or trolls have no way of connecting them up. I imagine in the old days this was easy, but not sure how feasible this is with Google+ and all these new linked sign in accounts or new security features. I don't want to accidentally have people know my real identity, or even to link up videos on different topics.

Are you partnered with a network? The contract is simple. It's either 70/30, 80/20 or 90/10. So for 70/30, you will receive 70% of the earnings and your network will take 30% of your earnings and YouTube takes 10% (correct me if I'm wrong that YT takes 10%) If you want to make money it's wise to join a network. Adsense sucks, trust me

My friend is partnered with 'Fullscreen' Also, you can make more than $1 for every 1000 views. Depends what country your viewers are from and the Ads ofc So if your from the UK, and a US viewer watches your video, you will earn more than someone from the UK.


Also, its REALLY easy to get accepted into a network now. You only need like 200-500 views per video to get accepted. There are LOADS of YouTube networks. Such as Fullscreen, RPM, Socialblade, TGN and Machinima, but theirs LOADS more. (top of my head)

What I said above is 100% accurate, my freind is quite popular on YT, I know

EDIT - forgot to mention. YES, you can have multiple accounts. Once you are partnered, you will have the option to 'Add' another account on your network dashboard. Earnings will be shared btw. I forgot to mention too, that views don't get you earnings, ONLY the ADS will.

You can get a "parnter account" with Youtube, but you need to have something like 100,000 or more views before.

With less, you have to join a "network" and split the money with them.

But if you haven't got to 100,000 views, the money just isn't worth your time anyway.


So... making money on YouTube.

Steps:

1) Make a popular channel
2) Get hundreds of thousands of views
3) Figure out partnership from there (and not before)

On average I think the payout is about $1 per 1000 views but it varies depending on several factors. I checked a few blogs on it but only real way to find out is to get started.

Yes. Highly targeted advertisable content (like PC building instructions) lends itself to a captive audience who are ready to buy something tend to get higher clickthrough and may get as much as $10 per 1000 views.

Generic comedy or lolcats may get as low as $1 per 1000 views.
