man made diamond engagement ring

My girlfriend is adamantly against a diamond ring due to all the propanganda and what not. so she's not expecting a diamond ring, but i know she will love a man-made diamond ring. i hear they are pretty much exactly the same as a natural diamond at a much lower price.

Anyone ever get one of these? Can you recommend a good place??

No I don't think that quite makes sense.

I think you would have to say more like an engagement ring with a man made diamond. With the comma there, it just doesn't sound right.

Are man made diamonds able to be determined as such without some serious cash to check? AFAIK man made and natural are identical except for if you do some high tech expensive tests.

Edit: found my answer, they are laser inscribed with this info stating they are man made.
