I'm not at all impressed by the G5 case. Sorry. Not even a window to show off the much bragged about 'neatness' ???
So when will you see the neatness on the inside? Most Mac owners will never open their case...

Those are NOT $500 mods. Those cases are just unmodded ThermalTakes with some idiots who slap on a few CCFL's and think they are uber 133+. Go look around some more.
Its also called "if your fan breaks down, Apple is going to charge you $100 to fix it".

Naah... still depressed.
What are they going to do ? Put a couple of light bulbs and turn my PC into a bilboard ?
How does this
or this
compare to this
Talking about engineering neatness...
... and look at that air-flow design ....
Darn... I am having an identity crisis here :-(

Gag.
1. Windows are for posers.
2. Apple better make sweet looking cases...they need something to distract you from the fact that you paid 3x more than a comparable PC would cost.
Window mods are for people who would rather look at their hardware than use it (or can't use it and HAVE to look it instead).Originally posted by: Nebor

Sorry... it looks like a cheese grater...
You sure picked the wrong cases to compare...

I'm not sure it's about how it looks but how well laid out it all is. In the professional world of enclosure layout/design, the tidyness and economy of an enclosure are very important - almost as important as the functionality of the box. The appearance of the G5 innards are a testament of Apple's engineering accomplishment rather than aesthetics. (my professional opinion)Originally posted by: OddTSi
Wait, you mean we're supposed to buy computers based upon how they look INSIDE a non-windowed case? Damn, here I was all these years buying computers based upon how fast/stable they run the programs I use on a regular basis. I guess I better call the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy guys and have them queer me up.
