Hello
I'm in the beginning stages of shopping for a new, cheap computer.. my current one is a 4+ year old Athlon XP 2000+ system I peiced together.. and I really just need an entire new computer instead of upgrading. everything is outdated.
In this stage, I've been looking at some pretty interesting deals on consumer systems.. however most of the deals (looking at AMD-based systems) are for older Socket939 systems. boo.
So I've been searching for news on Computer Manufacturers next lines of computers.. but am having a tough time.. something along the lines of DailyTech, except outlining whats next for prebuilt machines (you know from Dell, HP, Acer, etc - dont gag too hard :cP).
Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips that might steer me in the right direction (for the news/info for which I'm looking)? This news will help me decide whether to bite on one of these older 939 systems for dirt cheap or to wait a couple months for something better (at the same price < 500 USD). Thanks.
