depression is a hell of a thing, believe me. but there is possibly no act mroe selfish that suicide. any psychologist will tell you this, as will those with actual EXPERIENCE with suicide deaths.

makes it sound like she's only got one kid, she's got 8
In actuality, any depression, or any change in mood state at all for that matter, has a neurochemical basis.
True. But I think the real question should be a the chicken or the egg problem.
Did the chemical imbalance cause the depression, or did the depression cause the chemical imbalance?
I think it can be either depending on the situation. If you just failed hardcore at life, you're gonna feel depressed. But if you eat shitty foods and only eat one big meal a day, your neurochemical balance is gonna be way off too.
What a selfish guy.
What a selfish guy.
I hate this argument... I see people got to it already but still
It blows my mind, its his life, he does whatever he wants with it... Thats like saying its selfish to eat food everyday because you could save thousands of people if you gave it away
But for the record I think suicide is pretty stupid, unless your life is a real living hell and you know theres no point of return anymore, then Id understand, but thats rarely the case
lol no that is not a real question. the imbalance comes first.
it is selfish in that they aren't thinking of anyone but themselves. sure, they are mentally ill, not thinking correctly, but they are indeed only thinking of themselves with no regard for others.
argue the point all you want, it remains.
Situational factors can directly affect neurophysiology, so it's not always an assumed truth that the "imbalance" occurs first. Perhaps the "imbalance" is due to a consistent pattern of interpreting and interacting with the environment.
That being said, the current thinking is that it's a combination of different factors. Genetic, physiological, psychological, experiential, and situational components all contribute to the development and maintenance of a depressive state.
absurdly ridiculous comparison.yup. like those assholes with renal failure too.
