Have you tried trainers?
ME's plot is a mixture of various Sci-Fi books like Dune, Star Wars and Star Trek.which in broad strokes could be considered 'generic' (many Sci-fi themes are the same throughout different IPs)
What about Fallout 3?Well, that is what happens when you start in the middle of a trilogy. Now you screwed everything up haha.
What about Fallout 3?
i am D/L'ing the GotY version right now and i haven't played any of the games - or know anything about - the Fallout universe.
Am i at a disadvantage beginning with Fallout 3?
- i survived beginning with Gothic 3.

How'z that?Totally apples and oranges...
i am going to start Fallout 3 - at the end of a trilogy. However, a poster explained that Fallout 3 is meant to be played independently of the first two games.Well, that is what happens when you start in the middle of a trilogy. Now you screwed everything up haha.
Moreover, on top of that ME2 has zero reason to exist with respect to the overall plot; it advances nothing and it clears up nothing: all it does is add a superfluous enemy (i.e., "the Collectors"), just so it can run in place until it's time for ME3.
ME2 is nothing more than a placeholder for ME3-- a very slick and cinematic placeholder. Admittedly, some of the character reunions from ME1 are really good, but it's not an honest game.
Because, like I said: ME2's main reason for existing is to string ME1 players along (whom they know will buy both ME2 and 3) while not alienating the new-to-the-franchise buyers of ME2 (whom they hope will also buy ME3).
How'z that?
Letsee .. they are both PC games; ME3 and FO3 are both action-RPGs. They are both trilogys and i was responding directly to this:

It was good, but ME1 was better.
OK. However, it is not necessary to experience anything other than Oblivion - you do not have to play the earlier TeS games; same with NeverWinter Nights 2 ... or most good standalone games in a series including Fable and B&W.
Of course you can compare themYou can't even compare the two.
Of course you can compare them
Which universe do you like better?
--i am about to start playing F03 GotY; it'll be awhile before i get to ME series
You can compare ANY two things - and FO and ME are both PC games franchises - you actually did a comparison - thank-you
(except Ross, i guess, they say there is no comparison )
Slight tangent, but don't want to make a new thread:
I just started a new game of Mass Effect. I didn't even realize the Bring down the Sky DLC was free.
For anybody who's gotten it:
Is it worth it, and can I use a Steam key to register with Bioware?
Would I have to start over?
