We received a few requests from people around here who wanted to run dual monitor setups, so we bought a few Matrox G550 Dual DVI PCIe cards to run in Gateway E4300 workstations on Dell 1900fp monitors.
I've tried 3 cards so far with no luck. When I flip into DVI mode on the monitor I get no green light; it just sits at amber. I've checked the BIOS and it's set to auto and the installed card should trump the onboard VGA anyhow, right? The articles I've read state this card should run in any PCIe workstation. The Matrox site offers little to no help...and I have a feeling that this will turn into a finger pointing match between Matrox and Gateway :disgust:
Initially we bought a single ASUS EAX800 Radeon X800 256MB DDR PCI Express x16 and that one went in without a hitch, but couldn't buy more because the fan glows blue and the boss decided it was too flashy for what we needed.
Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated...
