PowerYoga, it depends on what role you prefer playing as too what loadout you should be using. Now obviously the mech you are in plays a BIG part as to what role you can play as well.

My biggest issue with the game simply has to do with how much ammo I need to use due to the doubling of the armor on mechs. Ammo per ton should have been doubled as well, but it was not (alternatively, damage could have been doubled, but the whole purpose of the doubling of armor was to make matches last a little longer, and this would defeat the purpose). As it stands, it takes something like 600 LRMs to kill a mech, which is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. And if you are using UAC5's you better have 8-12 tons of ammo with you or you are out before you kill 2 mechs.

the one area where I think the program has gone off is that on the boardgame each segment is 10 seconds, so every wepon can do it's max amount of damage once over a 10 sec period. If that was fixed then you wouldn't have everyone in ML boats or a need to fudge the armor values.

wouldn't have to, there are other things like recharge time to occupy the remaining time.

Yes and no. The reason why ML and SL boats never really appeared in the TT game was because of range. Getting into close combat was rare and required a high degree of coordination between partners or decent tactics with multiple mechs and even then, by the time you got into close range you were in danger of being cored. Now CC is the name of the game, and the advantages of range are greatly diminished.

yeah mentioned that earlier that to really see all weapons used effectively they would need to expand the contact range from the previous games. so far that hasn't really been done.

I am waiting for them to give the final reset to play again, Ill pop in after a patch but I cant play anymore for things just to get wiped unfortunately.

I've had a couple interesting odd hours matches. Going against a team with 6 lights while yours contains only 1 below heavy.

it really is fairly frustrating when match after match there is 0 coordination within your team while the enemy is all lumped up together working as a coheasive unit. i was close to rage quitting last night.

im going to have to change my tactics i guess. my poor CAT in any config i regulary use is next to useless when i have no support or i get steamrolled by 3 assaults.

cant you enter matches with "friends" so you have a "clan" on one side vers another?

There must be some way to. I was in a match were one of the guys said watch out, these guys we're doing an all commando rush last time.

Too bad for us as we rushed forward to wipe them out away from our base we found that they were almost all in awesomes.

BAAAHAHAHA! that had to be the PA guys. they were mentioning an all commando roll they had the other night.

i need to hop on their vent and roll with them. already have most added to my friend list.

yea, you can group with friends. im just not a fan of voice chat. guess im just too old to want to change.

You can add freinds to your list and drop with them. Since there is no voice chat in the game i dont see how you think that requires voice chat. Hint, explore that little yellow button the the lower right side of mechlab.

i know its there. i have about 40 people added from the PA boards.
