I was having a tonne of fun with this last week. This patch seems to have sucked the life out of it.

I asked for a refund.
Not really due to any particular stuff, I'm simply seeing they won't be able to get certain things done before my studies start next month.
I bought the Founder's Package as I thought they'd have a more polished version on Aug 7th but seems this is still closed, bugged and unoptimized beta still.
Hopefully by the time I'm done with this year (last one yay) I can get back to this. In the mean time - WoT.
I dont blame you, when i purchased founders the game was supposd to be out by now, summer 2012. Now im positive it wont be out this year.
I hope it won't be out this year. And by "out" I mean "open beta." They just have too much stuff to put in before starting the clock on my premium time so I won't throw a huge bitch fit.
I was in my Gaussapult in a match on Caustic with about 300 Jenners. The funny thing is, I survived against all of them. They'd all run up next to me and overheat, and then 2 blasts to the face and donezo. The thing that actually did me in was another Gaussapult my team decided to ignore eventually came lumbering up and nailed me. And I actually almost got him too. :awe:
I find in PUGs the biggest problem is teammates don't lock onto enemies. Because of that, I have no clue where any opponents are outside of my line of sight so too often I walk around a corner or over a hill and there are 4 enemy Mechs fighting 2 of my teammates and neither of them locked on so I had no clue they were there.
Well, for the founders it is somewhat simple, buy an Atlas-K with the MC, take out the 300XL engine, strip the heatsinks and weapons, sell the rest of it, and buy a light with the left-over c-bills from selling the stripped atlas). Put the 300XL in the light and you are good to go... I am liking the new mech the added, feels like it survives a little better then the jenner and is a little harder to hit. And since it appears that it is faster then the jenner, the only thing I have to worry about getting on my 6 is another one of these with a similar max engine config. I took out 4 mechs and had 4 assists in one match. Had 5 kills and 2 assists in another, and had 3 kills and 4 assists in a third. Only died once (when I was fighting 4 jenners and a hunchback at the same time solo, but not before I killed the hunch and 3 of the jenners).
Now I only have 1 complaint about the gaussapult, it needs to have its torso twist limited slightly. It would be a lot more balanced if that was the case. As it currently stands, it is almost impossible to stay outside its weapons arch even if you sneak up from behind on one as it can twist to far (and/or too fast).
Thankfully someone clicked on the wrong place and now i am in the Beta !
But i wish i could use an Atlas
The Raven currently has no advantages over the Jenner. The Jenner is faster and smaller and packs essentially the same punch (or more). Large mechs have to aim down at the Jenner, which they don't have to do as much on the Raven. The Raven is nice though because it has a slim profile so it's harder to hit from behind. The other issues is you can never put an XL in a Raven because their side hit boxes for it don't make a lot of sense and extend forward on the main body quite a bit. This mech won't be truly useful until they put in the ECM/BAP packages and all that, and even then it still might not be depending on how they implement them. Right now you can turn one into a bootleg Hollander, which some people might enjoy. Once DHS are in, I suspect you could also do dual AC2 for harassment/cockpit rocking and still keep one or two MLs.
I cannot stand playing with all these random idiots. 4 matches in a row I get the only kills for my side and am left trying to single handedly fight off the remaining 5, 6, or 7 enemy Mechs.
TIRED OF IT!
