how long did WoT take to get community warfare?
Can't see to find out but the whole Clan Wars thing has been down for months at a time for maintenance and huge, feature-breaking bug fixes.
Wiki suggests that at least the Devs had access to CW material in February 2011 and from an EU friend that plays CW, his best guess is May-June 2011.
World of Tanks went into Closed Beta around June/July 2010, Open Beta in January 2011 and released in April 2011 (if my memory serves me well).
So 3-4 months after starting Open Beta?
I don't understand the fascination with Streak SRM 2's in this game
The obvious reason is because the answers would be poorly received. This game really seems to be going in the wrong direction. I'm having a hard time pushing myself just to spend $7 for more mech bays. I wish I could wait to see what comes with the next patch but they'll likely pull the MC bonus during the update. I love Mechwarrior, but this game, not so sure.
I think this is just the beginning of desperation mode to be honest. Until Battletech is brought back to the game, I am still out.

It's alright. You only have to put up with it for 5 days...
The world is ending.
I love how passionate everyone is about this game. Rage on all fronts. And i can understand why people are rageing, but i guess i dont care too much. If things get out of wack to the point i can tell, i'll raise my eyebrow and do something else till the next fix. Not a big deal, its just a videogame.
Im excited about the removal of repair because it makes ferro and artemis useful. Ferro was next to useless for the gains it gave, and if you had more than 2 tons of Artemis ammo, you got crushed under the repair costs. Yes, it will completely change the meta of the game, but i dont believe it will become Atlas wars online. I guess time will tell.
It is damn easy to exploit the fact you get quick cash just for being presesnt for a match. Ive been using that fact to grind up my commandos. I dont repair or rearm them. Just jump in a match and go, trying to do as much spotting and damage as i can before i die. If we win, great! 200k for me. if we lose, oh well, 130K for me! Just rotate between all 3 commandos in quick order and im up 1.5 mil an hour. This is a problem. Most people just AFK or bot. changing to performance based rewards is a great change. But maybe i'll change my tune when i have a few bad matches and end up dead last in the rankings. we'll see.
It just drives me crazy when every single change they make is the end of mechwarrior online. its all doom and gloom. People bitch that the starting grind is too hard. they change it to make it easier of new people to get them going faster, people bitch that everyone will run an atlas right out of the gate. PGI is stuck between a rock and a hard place. they're damned if they do, damned if they dont. Im just glad they actually make decisions and change things that need fixed, even if its not done in the order the public wants, or the way they want it.
Ya all i have to say about those patch notes is this is going to turn into DDC atlas warrior online.
ECM overpowered and must have item, check.
All playes new or old will either get 8 mil after 25 games or just get a one time 8 mil cbill award, so everyone will be able to afford DDC atlas, check.
No repair/rearm so might as well field assault, check.
Lower base bonus and only really rewarded for kills and damage, which is easier to accomplish with a assault, check.
I forsee 60%+ of all mechs being dropped to be DDC atlas by next week.
Right now, a squad of Ravens with ECM still trumps the Atlas. I see them a lot in pug games and it makes just stop playing. How they even decided to put ECM in play without fixing netcoding just show how stupid the developers are. They have no clue on game balance and what is important as a core mechanic of the game.
