Wait until she fins L&R... you will be doomed.
Let's just say I voted for Obama because I'm uneducated and lazy.
Here is pic of family; please do not back trace the Internets on me OR do something wrong with the picture.
Thank you.
While preslove was actually quite polite about it, a picture is NOT required.
I don't follow AT that much anymore...but pictures, last time I checked, were posted completely voluntarily.
Welcome to the forums. I hope you enjoy your stay.

It was nice of you to put a computer in the kitchen.
Seriously tho, you spent 12 hours a day on here and have a wife + kids? D:

I wish you a happy stay here psyjsay. But I must say I can't see this ending well Dixy. What were you thinking!?
I was thinking I could check ATOT on the HTPC between shows on Hulu and she wouldn't notice...
but she did.
Wait, I'm assuming you told her about ATOT at some point before right? I mean if you spend that much time here I'd think it would come up at some point in conversation right? Somehow the way you said that above makes it seem like she hadn't heard of ATOT at all.
It's like this:
I've read threads to her before, particularly one's that have MoonBeam in them (hell, I tell people at dinner parties about some of the shit MoonBeam says); and she knows I do 'something' on the computer all day... as I have explained to her that it is mostly a mellowing time between conducting research activities.
But I just sent in three articles to the premier conference in my field and have been posting more than usual;
Usually she plays a game on the iPhone about breeding frogs which is enough to keep her distracted from wondering what I'm doing all day at the computer...
But putting ATOT up on the HD TV in the living room got her thinking "I should make an account and chat!"
The semester is beginning again and it is likely that I will be back to near hibernation (unless a psychology or business thread comes up).
What do you research BTW?
Well; I just finished my MBA while studying international business management for two years in Ph.D. level work at my local university.
But I have now clearly defined research interest that falls within the realm of organizational behavior/ industrial psychology. I want to help find a solution to the problem of people with autism not working.
Presently 60% of those with Autism are at or above average IQ while only 16% of those of working age are actually employed. I believe that by better understanding the differences autism causes the employer can gain a great deal of benefit from these different minds.
Now.. no one at all has done research on this in the business literature; so I'm applying to 29 Ph.D. programs in OB with hopes that someone will think my research interest worthy perusing.
(the acceptance rate at these programs is usually between 3 and 5%)
My wife is studying behaviorism and will have a masters in psychology along with a board-certification in behaviorism soon. We intend that she will obtain her doctoral degree on a part-time basis while I peruse my Ph.D. on a full time basis; Leaving her with only a dissertation to finish when the kids start attending school and I finish my Ph.D.
Now she's going to search all your previous posts and find out how creepy you are.
