Memory for OC'ing e8400

I just got in on that e8400 deal at microcenter.
I need suggestions on memory. This is my first build, since my s939 build. I read up on OC'ing the e8400 and was impressed people could get 4.0ghz stable on air. Well My main goal is to reach the 4.0ghz point on air, which memory to get? DDR2 800 (pc2 6400) or DDR2 1000 (pc2 8000) or DDR2 1066 (pc2 8500).

I was looking at the following memory kits:
OCZ Platinum 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)- $48.99

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)- $69.99

I mean Im open to other recommendations. What do you guys think?

Also, I had a question on Harddrives. I was looking at that WD Raptor 150GB 10,000rpm drive. Would I see a noticeable difference between my current seagate 7200.9 (I just remember its the .9 not the .10 model) 400GB 7200rpm 16mb cache drive. A noticeable difference in things such as startup times, loading programs, etc.

e8400
gigabyte ga-p35-ds4 rev 2.0
8600gt (I'm not a gamer)

right now I'm using some inexpensive Corsair XMS2 6400 4GB 800MHZ.

supposed to run @ 4-4-4-12 800mhz..
also this stuff defaults to 5-5-5-18 1.8v, instead of 4-4-4-12 2.1V.
can't OC the CPU and run 4's. unless I run 750mhz (approx)

My setup right now is:
CPU OC'd to 3.6ghz.
4GB Ram set to 5-5-5-15 2.1V 920mhz (approx)

If I could do it over I'd cooler ram.. this stuff get's hot @ 2.1v..

(btw I can crank my CPU 4.4ghz etc.. , but the memory starts to get unstable.. unless I start running much more conservative settings on the RAM)

djplayer, I have similar or the same ram as you, and I'm running it at 4-4-4-12 @ DDR2-800 settings no problems, voltage bumped slightly from stock... (defaults at 5-5-5-18)

run the RAM @ 1:1 and at 4-4-4-12 rather than using higher RAM:FSB ratio and lower timings. greater than 1:1 ratio does not yield the best real world performance benefit

I have been running the G.skill HZ in my sig since I went ddr2,I got a decent deal on it via a trade, anyhow, for yuks I picked up a set of ddr2 pc5400 off Tankguys and received it today and have not done much testing, but I have it at 5,5,5,15 at 475fsb,(950) right now at 2.05v.

It is rated at ddr 667 3,3,3,8! I paid 42.99 and shipping, it is Team Xtreem ram. Will do more testing later, and BTW, it has D9gmh chips on it, same as my G.skill.
