memory purchasing questions

i have two computers, both nforce2
right now one has 2x256mb PC3200 mushkin ram
the other one only has 1x256mb PC3200 OCZ ram

now, what would be the best purchasing option to get the 1x256 more ram?
i am thinking to get a single stick of 512mb for the 1x256 and giving that ram to the 2x256 so its 768 total
