Memory timing issue

When I set the memory timings to 4-4-4-12 in the BIOS and go back into windows CPU-Z and Everest are detecting the timings as 3-4-4-12.

Is it just a reporting error in CPU-Z and Everest? or is it a BIOS issue?

By the way, I initially had BIOS v.405 and I upgraded to v.503, and its the same with both.

Any ideas?

I tried to set it to 3-4-4-12 in the Bios, and I couldn't get it to boot at the same voltage setting as when I set it to 4-4-4-12, which leads me to think that there is a difference between setting the CAS latency to 3 or 4 in the Bios. And I am tending towards an error in reporting in windows.

Does it happen that 2 different software can get the memory timing detection wrong?
Is there a third software that I can try? Something hopefully a bit more reliable!
