Could someone Please either explain or give me a lint to an article that explains memory timing. I know I want to stick with the Micron chip. I am not new to building computers but my last build was 3 yrs. ago and I am not a big OC'er but I like to understand things, like what does each of the 4 #'ers in the timing represent and how they affect the performance of the puter. What am I looking for in these #'ers and why?
I am getting ready to build a new rig so want to make the proper, educated choice on my components. The new build will start with:
Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6
E6600
AsusEN8800GTS
and have been eyeballing either the G.Skill PC2 6400 2X1GB or the Crucial Ballistix PC2 6400 2X1GB
It's like with the G.Skill, with the same memory, I can go with 4 4 4 12 or 4 4 3 5. What's the diff.
Thanks much for your time and help
