I always hear how tuna has lots of mercury and you should limit how much you eat.

What about other fish.... I love Cod, but I havent been able to find much. I also am a huge fan of salmon.

What would you recommend as a safe fish to eat mercury wise?

I'd say any fish is safer than most any other meat out there

You can say that all you want it is just not true, I know of no beef products that have toxins that are killers and cause blindness in little kids like the Mercury content of a lot of fish.
The pond raised fish can be very bad depending wat they feed them, when they feed catfish dry dog food they are not healty to eat

They feed(fed) cows cow...

Not saying that there isn't fish out there that can be bad if eaten in excess (tuna), but for the most part, fish is healthier.

i always though fish from deep in the ocean should be safer since they aren't exposed to as many environmental toxins as shore-dwelling or river-dwelling fish

Many recent press releases have suggested that people only consume Salmon (farm-raised) no more than once per month.

I read an article in BusinessWeek magazine. It had something about not eating the larger fish because they eat the smaller fish and the mercury levels build up.

i wouldnt worry about it. i know old times who have eaten all kinds of fish, wild and farmraised, multiple times a week and have no problems related to mercury.

Lets see here...Japanese eat fish everyday and live to be 3498720394 years old despite smoking all the time. I'd say it's the best meat out there

I try not to eat farm raised fish when I don't have to.
