Ronaldo is a great player, but he's prone to bitching, diving and general douchebag behavior. He's a prima donna in a Real Madrid jersey. He never gets back on defense and whines every time he doesn't get his way.

Messi was doing this at only 19 years of age.

While this isn't fair to Messi (and it's an argument brought up in many sports awards), Iniesta won more than Messi.

Domestic club obviously they won the same. While Messi is more important to that team, as you said Iniesta is a great player and has been the engine of the team for years.

Internationally, Iniesta led Spain to a Euro while being named the top player of the tournament, and that Spanish side is being considered one of the best ever.

I still think football is too much of a team sport that an individual player can't actually completely carry a team, but the reality is that you will be judged on WC success in order to be considered the best ever.

I do feel that this is tough on an international setting. You can see that players sometimes don't even gel on a club level, and they train together day in & day out. Given the limited time national teams get to get to spend, I feel that it's tough especially if a team has players that play all over the world.

It's so much easier for, say, Spain because most of their key players play for Real Madrid & Barca.
