Microphone Recommendations

Hey ATOT, I'm in the market for a new microphone(work/gaming) and would like some recommendations.

Ideally I'd like a clip on mic than desk mounted for portability and willing to spend $50, but can go to $100 if quality is better.

I know jack all about mic tech, so any help on what to look our for would be appreciated. What mic do you all use daily?

I did buy a desk mounted mic - Blue Yeti Blackout Edition.

Blue Yeti here, love it. I'm not aware of a clip mic that sounds great, but I'm sure there are some. Most of the ones I've heard sound awful and/or have tons of shirt noise as you move.

Mod Mic - it attaches with a magnet mount to any headphones. I used them for a while with various headsets like the Sennheiser HD600 and the Beyer T90's for gaming and it was very good.

Depends on what you want to do. You basically have two options:

1. Wired
2. Wireless

A good basic USB clip-on mic goes for $20:

If you want wireless, you can get a really decent set of wireless earbuds for $35 these days:

Lots of headsets are available, wired & wireless. This is my go-to headset for setting people up with Zoom & stuff, it has both a 3.5mm jack & a USB adapter:
