Four months ago, I renewed my contract with T-mobile and got the MyTouch 4G Slide. Recently I had been having trouble with my microSDHC card literally "popping out" of it's slot. therefore unmounting the disk and then I would have to push the disk back in for it to stay. But then it would go ahead and pop out of the slot again. I had gone to T-mobile a few days ago and they issued a new phone to me that I received last night. Today, I went ahead and started copying all my photos/videos that I've had on the microSDHC onto the computer and halfway through, a box showed up saying that the video it was downloading could not be copied due to it being in use. I went and looked at my phone and once again, the card had popped out of the SD card slot. I pushed it back in and from then on, my phone would show "charge only" instead of "disk mount" like it normally would when I would connect the phone to the computer via USB.
I went out and bought a card reader and tried to put the microSDHC into that, but nothing still shows up. I went to T-Mobile, they tried to grab my stuff through their thing and nothing happened. When I would put in my SD card from my Nikon into the card reader, it would read fine. But with the microSD, nothing shows up at all. I tried to called Geek Squad at Best Buy and they're going to charge me $100 to transfer my data so...no thanks.
I'm wondering if anyone here knows any programs that would help me be able to recover the microSD without having to reformat and lose all my photos/videos first. I just want to be able to save all my stuff and then format it afterwards if I have to (which most likely will). Or if I'm forced to format the microSD card, then is there a software/program that would be able to locate and recover all my photos and videos? Or am I SOL that my microSD is completely dead and there is nothing I can do? Any tips/suggestions would be great, thanks.
