Hi everyone,

I was at Fry's this afternoon and saw the Microsoft Office Keyboard. Anyone have this? Is it a cool keyboard. Do you use all of the functions.

Keyboards should be big, clicky, have no windows key, and say IBM in the top left corner.

I got one where I work to play with and use, just fired it up yesterday. I'm still learning my way around it, haven't even scratched the surface of all it's features yet. Using the quick launch buttons to open Word, Excel etc. work fine. The scroll wheel on the left is a little too fast for me (probably adjustable, haven't RTFM'd yet).

One really nice thing, if your not familiar with keyboard shortcuts for Windows, they are stenciled right on the keys (Ctrl - S = Save for instance).

The keys have a nice tactile feel and are pretty silent, MS has always made quality hardware.

Since I didn't have to pay for the keyboard, overall I'd have to say I like it. If I was buying one for myself.........heck, I don't even know how much they cost but I suspect the price would be a strong deterrent.

Same with Logitech... DAMN YOU LOGITECH! DAMN YOU!

TunaBoo if you like the IBM keyboards you've got to love the Avant (Northgate Omnikey) keyboards. Big, Clicky, 5 lbs, and programmable. If you've tried the rest, these are tops! The company making these bought Northgate's keyboard plant and has continued to build excellent keyboards. Sure they are pricey but some things are worth it. Read about them here and see them here.
