I suggest a macro to speed up the process. In other words, record a macro to paste block of text at the begginning of each document. You'd still have to open each file and to this but 53 files wouldn't really take too long, would it?

you cannot do that without opening a file. you can do it by opening the file then insert the data. you can try writing a macro as dderolph suggested.
