mobo and video problems

i just built a new system from a mixture of new and old parts. my problem is when i put my xfx geforce4 ti4200 video card into the msi k8n neo fir mobo it wont boot . when i turn the power on the fans spin for a second then stop. i am using a radeon 9250 card right now and it works fine. is there anything i can do the get the geforce card working?

a64 3000+
msi k8n neo fir
512 crosair platinun xms pc3200
segate 120 sata
xp pro sp2

i have done some more investigating. i have tried the card in another pc and it works fine. i would really like to get this card to work. i plan on buying the agp version of the 6600gt after it has been out for awhile and the price drops. probably after christmas. so i really dont want to have to buy an inferior card now. there has to be somthing i can do to make the ti4200 work

Motherboards can be real funny when it comes to video cards the older they are the less likely they will work.
try visiting the sight msi to see if it suports that card if not maybe someone else on this sight can point to you where to go.

tell me about it... especially if its MSI...
i think im RMa-ing my Neo2... doesnt with with my radeon9600xt... But i think i just got 1 of those faulty boards... thats all...
