Mobo/Case connector prob

u know the little panel on your mobo where u plug the reset switch, power led, etc into?
well on this 8iexp i just got, it has a POWER LED that is only 2 pins long, and a POWER which is 3. my case has a POWER LED that is 3, and a POWER which is 2. all the other ones are fine.

also, the pins have a + and a - on the mobo. what color would be + and -? all have a white, but some have a red or a green or something.

Polarity on the power switch doesn't matter. Polatiry on the LED does matter, but don't worry about getting it wrong - if the LED doesn't light, just reverse the wires. If the connectors don't fit, just snip them in half or replace them with single-wire connectors.

look on the connector on the led's. on the back side, there are openings that expose the metal of each pin on the connector. use a straight-pin or some other pin and push on the metal piece while pulling the wire out of the black plastic connector. hopefully, the wire will come right out. then just put it back into the black connector, but right next to the other wire this time. when you get this far you can either chop off the unused part of the connector or leave it (you can probably just leave it, but your motherboard layout may not let you do this)
