MoBo issues

MoBo:
DFI LANParty nf3 250GB

Ok so the first problem is I have a 500GB SATA drive and my computer only sees 127GB
I have windows XP installed with SP3
I have tried to uninstalled and reinstalled the driver no luck.

Second problem I am unable to get internet connection. Shows that the LAN cable is connected, but no network connection. Gets a 169.x.x.x IP. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, I have even reloaded OS.

Please help

I would assume you first used the HDD with XP pre sp1, so it's formatted to XP's (pre sp1) limit of 127 gigs.
If you look at the drive in Disk Manager do you see any "unallocated spece"? If so, just format that space.
If nothing shows up you'll have to boot up an XP install disk (sp1 or better) and run fixboot and fixmbr from Recovery Console and then the rest of the disk should show up.
You could also run FDisk from a DOS boot disk, but you have to get the latest version of FDisk.
