No they don't make games for it anymore but there are some pretty good ones already out.

They didn't go out of business. Neo Geo pulled out of the USA and European markets because they couldn't compete with Game Boy Color, PS One, and the announcement of Game Boy Advance.

They will be concentrating solely on the Japanese market. Games will be coming out in Japan only. Which means, if you want games for this $20 handheld, you can probably import them from Japan for like $900 each.

I heard SNK was calling back all units but that source could be wrong. Imports aren't all that much more, maybe like $10 more or so. But $10 more isn't bad for a game thats only gonna run you $20. NGPC had some good games, notably Sonic. It is also tons more powerful than a Game Boy Color.

I just went to wal-mart, no one was in the electronics section, so I had to break in. Anything for a hot deal. Anyways I didn't see any Neo-Geo pocket anything, no units, no games, no nothing. I don't even think they carry them. Anyways your mileage will very. And if you find a store with one, and they have more than you want, pick one up for me please! hehe I have mad references and will get you back and then some.

If you guys are into Metal Slug, try the NeoGeo emulator NeoGeoX, it rocks. Nothing like PLaying Metal Slug on a 17in screen. Plus, theres a lot of other good fighting games, ie Samurai Showdown (all 4) and Last Blade (2)

I just got back and they were sold out at my wal-mart They do, or should I say did, indeed carry them. I couldn't get a confirmation on the price but I was told that if hey have them, they would be on the CLEARENCE RACK. So don't go looking around anwhere else. My friend gets his tomorrow because he had them put one aside for him, so I'm pretty confident that they are $20. Let's hope!

Are these the color or b&w versions? I used to have the color version, it was pretty cool for a handheld. And if you're into fighting games, it totally blows away the gameboy. Almost every other game was a fighting game! My 2 favorite games was Match of the Millenium (Capcom vs SNK characters) and Card Fighter Clash (addicting card game that used Capcom & SNK chars. as well). Other cool games was Samurai Showdown 2, Fists of Fury, King of Fighters R2, Gal Fighters, Metal Slug 1 & 2, and Last Blade. Too bad SNK pulled the plug on US & European outlets, I hear they're selling strictly in Japan now.

Ok, I went to two seperate Wal Mart. First one sold out. I asked at what price? They said at $99.

Went to second store. They had about 20 Neo Geos. The sticker shows $99 and so I explained to them that they were discontinued items and that Wal Marts everywhere were selling for $20.

Talked to manager. He said he never heard of any Wal Mart selling it for $20. He did say that if I bring in proof of this sale he is willing to sell it to me.

Here is the hard part. ANYONE GOT ANY PROOF OF THIS SALE AND CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO OBTAIN IT. I JUST DROVE OVER 30 MILES LOOKING FOR THIS DEAL. PLEASE HELP.

Welcome to the new rumor sections of AnandCrap...Forget about hot deals and lets talk about what I heard the other day...

Someone told me that at Kay Bee that the Playstations are now $19.99 because they are trying to beat the Dreamcast promotions. Wow! Quick get in your car and get over there...If the manager says "yeah we had them for $19.99 but we are sold out" you then just have to tell him the magic password phrase "do you sell donuts" and he will get one from the back. It really WORKS! This guy I know told me all about it.

I'm still trying to get confirmation that my friend got one for $20 because if was lying I'm going to be ticked. I went to 3 more wal-marts today and all of them had none but the people who worked there all said they were on clearence and said that they only had a few, about 6 units. None would give me a confirmation on a price. Maybe it's regional or maybe it depends on how many the store had left? I've started to give up hope. Looks like even if this was legit that all the units are gone.
