Modem Driver Problem

I'm having some headhaches with a Conexant r56 PCI modem that's work fine, but doesn't recognice voice functions, I think it's a driver issue. What's the best driver for it?? it has problem with Voice functions??

Pull the modem out and get the model number off of it. Look all over the modem for a number, sometimes the FCC ID number will work as well. Go to Drive Guide, follow the instruction and enter your modem number in. Find the latest driver for your modem and OS. Give it a shot. Welcome to the forums at AT!

I had a Conexant based 56k Modem that I picked up from somewhere because I noted it had a CD Audio cable and therefore I could attach it to my soundcards TAD connector and use the mic and speakers as a phone!

Windows XP automatically installed it as a Gateway Data Fax modem which meant it had not voice features, well it must do to have that cable!....so I got hold of a couple of modem driver CD's (the genericy type ones that have loads of drivers and free software) and allowed it to search and it picked it up as a Conexant 56k Data Voice Fax Modem this time and installed the appropriate Full Duplex for Voice Modem wotsit

So thats an option if you can get hold of one or two of these disks!
