Does anyone remember the link to that company that sells well-made modified cases (designed with AutoCAD), and does custom work as well?

Dao, Why not just do your own mods? It is really a lot of fun and provides loads of self satisfaction....check mine below.

Chris - Some people do not have the time, tools, skills, knowledge or a combination of any of those. There is nothing wrong with doing it yourself, and there is EQUALLY nothing wrong with having a customized case made to your specs or buying a stock modified case.

Just think about all the other things that you (and everyone else, becasue I'm not trying to direct this at you, just generalzing mostly) buy right off the shelf, that if you really wanted to, you could (and possibly you do) make yourself: cookies, cakes, and other foods, clothes, paper, gas, your house, etc.

Some people make their own things, and others focus their energy and time elsewhere and just buy the things that others make. I state all this becasue, although I own a company that does exactly what is in question here (customizing cases), I purchase many other things that I have the knowledge and skills to make for myself. There is nothing wrong with it either. It leaves me more time to do those things that I want to, like making color drawings in crayon with my 20 month old daughter.

Mainly because I do not like rough-cut dremel edges, and I would rather have quality laser cut edges.

wood cases only from that link.. or it seems so.

Wouldn't it be quite expensive to have one done for metal? I'd love for them to make my own designs.. but i'm not proficient w/ autoCAD.. just pencil, paper, and a ruler Would cost way too much i'd think for the common mortal.

Yes, it costs upward $600 for a modified Lian Li PC-70 from Designcomp.com (you could buy a VapoChill with that cash!).

I said from Designcomp, the company I was attempting to rediscover (thanks Techru). As for Frozen CPU, I don't like their PC-70 because it is not available without a window. Furthermore, they don't do custom work. I'm looking to have hole laser-cut in the side to accomodate a 254mm DC fan, which I can't get from FrozenCPU. That said, FrozenCPU's products are quality, and if I wanted a window (and not a 254mm fan), I'd be highly likely to purchase from them.

Techru, seeing as how you own Designcomp, would you/your company being will to install a glass window in the side of a case?

Daovonnaex - Please don't take this the wrong way, becasue I really will help you out. But, please refer all business matters by contacting us directly, either by phone or the less expensive way- by email. I have found that by answering general questions, clearing up misconceptions, and other things of that nature are fine to do on the forums, when I have the time. But, it's a big No-No to do anything business related on the forums. Members of the forums don't like it, and the owners of the forums don't like it. And, I happen to agree. The forums have their place, and conducting business on them is not it.

Plus, as infrequently as I have spare time to visit the forums, I would hate to leave someone hanging, while they were waiting for a reply. If you email us, I will have to reply to clear out my inbox Plus, that is the major way I can keep track of all inquiries, answers, and any orders that follow up.

I've been thinking of starting such a business. I have access to CNC and Engraving equipment which I could cut out just about any pattern precisely from an AutoCAD drawing.
