Monarch "quality service"

Since I've seen lots of posts from Monarch reps on the forum, I thought I'd do one of those "post" things I've heard so much about. I understand Monarch wants to be able to stand out for their attention to quality and stuff, but if my order is representative of their service they have a LONG way to go.

Ok, I placed two orders over the last week, one with Newegg and one with Monarch. I order from Monarch on the 13th three in-stock items: A X2 and two sticks of RAM and I pick two-day delivery. I order from Newegg about a dozen things, all in stock, on the 16th and get two day delivery for them too. Newegg ships the same day, and I get the parts yesterday. Monarch doesn't even SHIP until yesterday, and I wont see them until Monday. Hmmmm...10 hours to ship from one place, and five DAYS to ship 3 small boxes when the website says something like "parts will ship within 1-2 days." I think thats rediculous.

Just wanted to express my extreem disfatisfaction with them...I see posts from MonarchJoe from time to time about products and how he helps people get stuff quick, but honestly if you want to be KNOWN for quality as a whole you need to put the same work into all the orders you get, not just the ones where you'll get credit on a major forum to encourage more sales.:thumbsdown:

Thats the plan...I'm just trying to inform people here as to what happened so that when its THEIR turn to pick a place to order from, they can get an example of comperable experience between stores.

i ordered 2 things for new egg 3 days ago they got here yesturday and monrch hasnt shipped mine stuff either but i think that was be casue i ordered a combo but it has been slow

make sure u dont buy a full computer from them..oh man get ready to wait 2 months.

I got my A64 3000+/DFI Lanparty Ultra-D combo and my X800XL from them and they shipped to me in a timely fashion. My mobo/cpu combo shipped on the third day (it does say 1-3 days for assembly) and my X800XL shipped the next day after I ordered it.

Monarch seems to have a bad rep, but I'd order from them again.

About 9 months ago, Monarch's reputation on this board was excellent. If has dropped fast. Way too many people have had problems with them (myself included).
For whatever reason (I've heard a ton of excuse from Monarch and others that are trying to defend them), they seem to be somewhat slow on normal orders, very slow on combos, and absolutely unforgivably slow on full systems).

They also can be very picky about RMA's. Now I can kind of uderstand this policy as I know people really abuse RMA's. But even if you have a legitmate one, just be prepared to go thru some pains when RMA'ing back to them.

I would probably order from them again IF I will save alot of money AND I can afford to wait an extra week for the part(s).

Not affiliated with them in any way, but I had absolutely no problems when ordering all the parts for my recent system upgrade (about 1 month ago). All the parts (cpu, mobo, vid card, psu, cooler etc) arrived by the specified date in one big, well-packaged box. Prices for all the products were below Newegg's (I did get the case from them), and this was even before accounting for the taxes that Newegg would have charged me. Others may have had problems with them, but I hate to see such gross generalizations...

thats not even half as bad as what happened to me...i orgianlly ordered ONE ITEM(case)...they delayed about 2.5weeks...and this is when they upgraded my shipping to 2 days for earlier delays too...never ordering from there again

they sent me the wrong part, and sent a guy my part,I got in touch with the guy that had my part before I could get in toush with them. After they got it straightened out several weeks later, they were upset because I gave the a negative rating on reseller ratings and tried to get me to change it.

i heard great things about them and was hoping to get great things from them. unfortunately my order that was shipped to me was completely broken (BFG Geforcec 6600 GT video card). integrated chips, heat sinks.... all fell off my video card. in the end after complaining a bunch i still had to pay for shipping for the RMA.... another 10 bucks.... and my video card finally got to me after 3 weeks from when i first ordered!!! when telling them that prices have dropped again the CSR was kinda like.... well what do you want me to do? that 10 bucks i paid for the RMA shipping would've gotten me the same video card at newegg and faster.

never buying from them again and haven't since that occurance.

I ordered a mobo, ram, psu, and processor from Monarch. I was ready to build as soon as I got my package...... online everything said in stock, order shipped but backordered PSU!!!!! argh! I called them about it and they never did fix the website to state out of stock. I sat and looked at all my gear for a week before I got all my parts.

I had some small issues with an RMA - sent mobo back and they sent the same thing back. So I sent it to MSI and they fixed it.

Good thing my first rig I ordered from ncix.com They so great, I ordered 20+ things from them and all arrvied within 2 days, perfectly packaged and working, planning to order more from them. I believe they deliver to U.S, give em a shot?

Monarch is a borderline fraudulent operation. If you get something that works out of the box from them, you'd probably never know aside from the usual long wait for them to ship. But if you EVER receive defective hardware from them and want to (god forbid) return it (gasp) then you're in for some serious trouble. And by all means, whatever you do, never, ever, ever order a system built by them. The horror stories are unreal. If anyone ever needed a "sucks" site, it is Monarch Computer. Who's with me here??

Sometimes trying to save a few bucks just doesn't pay. And there is no better example of that than Monarch Computer.

i wish someone posted this earlier.

I ordered a new puter and 7 days after the order it is still sitting in "production scheduling". What kind of bs is this considering that all the parts were in stock.

Now I am feeling REALLY dumb for getting the 3 year warrenty on the parts

Why/How are they so tough on rma's? Do they just not reply or what?

I agree with monarch being super slow with orders and shipping. I just ordered my dfi nforce4 ultra from them 3 days ago(8/18/05) and it just shipped today(8/20/05)...Now that I know how slow they are compared to newegg, I don't think I'm going to order from them again, unless they have an item I disperately want for cheap. This comment isn't meant to stop shoppers from buying from monarch, but just expect to have some delays with transactions...

dang it why dont i see this sooner... a couple min ago i ordered my case from there cuz its a lot cheaper, but i kinda want it next week so i can build my comp.. ill let u guys know how it goes.

I have had only one order with Monarch (CPU and motherboard combo) and they shipped it fast (actually beating Newegg by one day on the parts I ordered from them).

I used Zipzoomfly for the first time about a month ago and they were very good too.

I have used Newegg most of the time, and outside a few problems, they have always been very good.

Sometimes, I think it is just luck of the draw.

The worst place I have ordered from was Allstarshop.com.
