I had a bunch of bills get dirty and contaminated. So I washed them with a little dish soap and water. No problem there.

So I ironed them dry.

I started with a €50 note. It turns out that all the security features, like the platinum hologram, and some inks aren't heat safe, and all melted off on the bottom of the iron.
