Sadly the LCD Stickied thread is dead and I was wondering what people's opinions are on which monitor to get.
I currently have a LG Flatron L226WTG which seems to be dying and needs a repair. I have an extended warranty from (shudder) Best Buy and I'm not holding my breath on their repair service and turn around time.
So right now I'm trying to find a monitor no higher then $400. I mostly game on my machine and so far it seems the new rage is 120hz monitors?
The only one that has caught my eye so far is the Asus VG236HE. Is this still a good monitor to pick up? or should I wait a little bit for something else down the road, assuming it's before the end of this year or very latest beginning of next. Also I wouldn't mind checking out IPS monitors but it seems like they are $700+ for good ones.
