Monitoring - Benchmarking

Just built a new machine yesterday

P4C 3ghz (stock fan)
ASUS P4P 800
1 gig Kingston Hyperlaced (or whatever) running dual channel.
and all of it is in a Antec Sonata with the stock 380w PS
I also have a cheap 128mb Gigabit Radeon 9200 in it as well as a Western Digital 120gb IDE drive and Sony optical and floppy drives.

Assembled the machine ? upgraded bios ? loaded windows ? no problems what so ever. Now I want to make sure this thing is really running like it should be.

I was able to monitor the temperature in bios and using the ASUS probe ? steady 29c when idle and the highest I?ve see it get is 34 (both motherboard and chip). Is that a good temp to be at?

How do I see how my processor is running and also how my memory is running (I want to confirm that it is running dual channel)? Is there any like computer monitoring software package that can give me all this info ? benchmarking and such?

I?m very happy with the machine I just want to make sure it?s up to snuff and make any changes if necessary.

Sissoft sandra 2004...use the cpu and multimedia to see if the hT is properly working and they have 3.0 and 3.2ghz system to compare to...

Use the memory test to see how it rates to other dual channel systems....

Other programs...
CPU_Z (can give the breakdown of actual vcore, speed, and cas timings with your memory....)

Prime95 and memtest86 for quick stress testing to make sure there are no issues with the cpu or the memory subsystem....

If you read their privacy policy, they add tribal fusion, and...well, I gave up trying to figure out what other sort of spyware....at least they admit it!! Unfortunately, as they say... essentially...."we have no control over what tribal does to your machine.

*sigh* Is there a benchmarking program that's free that doesn't whack you with spyware???

For some reason, with my P4C800-E, PC pitstop crashes every time within about 5 seconds of starting it. Even after a reformat. It works fine with my IC7-G. What could it be?
