monitoring employee PC desktops

Hi. Can you guys recommend some programs that are used to observe and record the desktop of remote computers on a LAN? I need to monitor what a small number (approximately 20) of employees do on their computer at work.

Hmmm... Me thinks the money and time spent monitoring said employees would outweigh the money and time lost in non-work activities on their computers. Sounds like TPS reports to me.

or VNC
generally speaking any remote control software will have a "view only" mode and with VNC you can remove the icon all together so they'd have no idea that you even logged in. But if you're trying to log people, with tangible evidence that isn't going to cut it.

Dameware might work as well but I don't know if it's possible to disable the box that pops up on the client side. The nice thing about Dameware is you don't need to install the 'server' software on the machine being connected to.

Does radmin let you record their screen though? I've used VNC, and I can't remember it having a recording option.

monitor as in look at their screen in real time through a different computer.

unless you are tracking illegal stuff, you don't need to record them to fire them...catch them looking at their Goatse pr0n and then have somone walk them to the door, they won't even ask why...
