Maybe they'll realize that too many people won't drive 8 hours for a 3 hour event, and honor me for bringing it to their attention by sending me a new chip

It's not the XPP tour, it's the Reality Check tour. XPP was the last one.

I didn't think that the quiz nor the box-building competition was a bad idea, I think it went rather well. I attended the Boston, MA, event. Most of the people doing the quiz were knowledgable, and both people built working boxes within the time limit. Pretty much everyone that I saw at the boston event looked like a hardcore geek, except for maybe that girl in the middle of the floor with the red checkerboard pants and lip-ring. Grrrrrr. I'd go to an event like that again.

I just can't believe that the guy that won the other PC from HotHardware, said that he had already won another computer earlier in the week. How's that for good luck?

Also, I am now the happy owner of an XP1800+ TBredA system, but no, I didn't win a CPU at the event.
