Most Ferraris are too maintstream looking. Lambo looks like it's out of this world exotic.
You can look at Tiburon or Celica, and say it looks a little like a Ferrari. But I challenge you to find any vehicle under 200K that you would say looks even remotely like a Lamborghini.
It looks like nothing else. The body, the doors, the wheels, the air intakes, everything. It epitomizes raw power, excess and uniqueness.
Ferrari might be a better car for racing and whateve, but it won't get the looks that a Lambo does.
That's a common misconception, but it's not true. The Tiburon was designed by an in-house Hyundai design team with no help from Ferrari/Pininfarina. They definitely used the 456 for "inspiration", though.Originally posted by: Encryptic

I've heard Ferrari helped Hyundai design the Tiburon, so you're not totally off the mark on that comparison.

Maserati is crap since the early 80s. Didn't Chrysler or Cadillac put out a Maserati-built car that flopped???

Heh, Maserati = "the four-door Ferarri" anyone else remember that care from the 80's?? Flopped BIG TIME. I heard stories about a few bad Maseratis in the 80s that ruined the brand's image for awhile. I guess originally it was up there with Rolls and Bentley (a more luxurious, grand touring car compared to Ferrari.)Originally posted by: mAdD INDIAN

it was "Maserati-styling"..it was still 100% Chrysler.
Btw, Maserati is NOT CRAP. They are owned by Ferrari, you know that right? They always had Ferrari-derived powertrains.

If I were to buy a car based on racing heritage and pedigree, it probably won't be Italian. I'd probably pick up a V12 Vanquish instead! Not to knock on Ferrari, but I just think Aston Martin is cooler (is it still Brit-owned? Prolly not! )

Even though Ford owns it now, I'm sure they still retain some degree of autonomy.Originally posted by: uncJIGGA
