I enjoy driving and I think driving in ferrari would make the whole driving experience complete... There's not much to compare between Ferrari and Lamborghini except for their high prices. It obviously does not compare well to lambos because they were designed for different purposes. Ferrari's made to drive taking hard turns and handle high revs during downshifts while managing to maintain superb handling and aerydynamics through its design. Lambos are built to be an exotic sportscar and is more pleasing to the eye but not to the road.
In other words, The Ferrari is to the PCs as to Lamborghini is to MACs.

I'll take the ferrari because I love F1/Michael Shumaker. The point of having such a beauty is to tear the road down. Not to park it in the garage to collect dust.

Right, Lambos aren't meant to take the road...that's why they have AWD while most prancing horses are RWD

No Sh!t! You guys must be smoking some bad rock! Farrari more prestigious than a Lamborghini? Please.
You can talk all the racing background of Farrari all day long, but the REAL test is this. Put a Lamborghini Diablo or Murcielago 50 feet away from ANY Ferrari and see which draws the biggest crowd. I'll give you a hint, it will ALWAYS be the Lamborghini.

And just to clear things up, the F50 looks like total ass.

I think a lot of people are confusing prestige with ability to get attention. Just because a car is more noticeable, attention-getting, or exotic-looking does not make it prestigious. Prestige is being worthy of respect, and while lambos get more attention, ferraris get more respect.

Lambo's are amazing... Diablo's are so sweet... old school models like Miuras are fantastic too... but Lambo simply does not have anywhere NEAR the prestige that Ferrari has...
Ferrari is probably the world leader and presitge (well obviously one of them)

Hmmm... tough call. I've always viewed Lamborghinis as a car you park in the garage "just to have". Ferraris I think are a car that just begs to be driven.

I'll borrow a quote I heard from somebody (can't remember if it was someone on this board or not)

"Ferrari = The Girl you take home to meet your parents

Lambo = The Slut you bang on the weekends"

Draw your own conclusions

i would just like to point out that many of you are dissing the Lamb... Lamborghini (had to copy and paste that), but no one is saying anything bad about the Ferrari. Just take note of that.

Koenigsegg.

Actually!!! Most newer Ferrari's come with cluthless shifting (don't know about Lamb)... just like F1s you tap left to down shift tap right to up it... really cool really fast... no worries about harming the car... it wants you to ride it hard!!!!!

you're asking two very different questions here...

1) which make of car would make my jaw drop lower? Lamborghini without a doubt
2) which company is more prestigious? Ferrari without a doubt

both make gorgeous cars, but Ferrari has all the racing heritage (LeMans, etc.) and therefore is a much more prestigious company. on the other hand, Lamborghini is by no means simply a close second. while Lamborghini may not have the same heritage, their designs make peoples heads turn more than any other car on the road. put them side to side, and i'd be looking at the Lamborghini (and probably drooling too...)

HEY...SOMEONE SHOULD MAKE A POLL OUT OF THIS!

Lambos are not wannabe Ferraris. Ferrucio Lamborghini, or whatever his name was, believed he could build a better car than Enzo Ferrari, and so he went to work building cars. that should be enough of a hint that the last thing he wanted to do was mimic Ferrari. sure, Lamborghinis just aren't Ferraris. but Ferraris just aren't Lamborghinis, as nice as they may be.

Ferrari is the star quarterback with the 4.0 GPA...the school's pride. The Lamborghini is the badass student who takes no sh_t from anyone and is always looking for trouble. Ferrari is just too conservative and refined to make jaws drop when parked next to a Lambo.

Paul Tracy of CART fame was asked what cars he owns, or has owned.

He said he tried a Lambo recently and he "wasn't impressed".

That's good enough for me. I don't believe there's anybody on earth more qualified to make that judgement.

Well... back during the F40 days id beg to differ... but Ferrari's focus now is for people to actually drive the cars... and guess what it works. They're reaping big profits ever since the 355. Lamborghini on the other hand has been bought out.

Lambo can't touch Ferrari

The reason that lambo's don't race isn't 'cuz they cant.

They're in the FIA GT... and well they suck. They're in the JGTC too... and they suck there too. I think Lamborghini would benefit a lot if they enter a racing series and start winning. I don't think that's in VW plans right now... but it would be cool to see Lamborghini in F1... but the last time they were there they still sucked. Bentley kicked ass in this year's LeMans and I wish Volkswagen chose Lamborghini instead... but Bentley has more weight in LeMans because they actually have history there even if it isn't comparable to Porsche or Ferrari. Ford on the other hand chose Jaguar to enter in F1 to improve its image and they're sucking major donkey balls that i think theyve done more harm than good.

A Ferrari is something white trash buy upon winning the lottery. I'd rather drive something built by Germans.

Its hard to say. I saw a yellow Lamborghini Murcielago on the road the other day while i was in Canada and that car is just pure sex. Its absolutely stunning. But personally, i would rather have a Ferrari and the ferrari racing heritage.
