Morrowind does require hand-eye co-ordination since its realtime and not turnbased as many here have said.
its very pretty but the story is confused as hell and if you get lost or take a long break you're screwed as you have very few 'reminders' around. the graphics do REALLY wear off.

I would agree with the suggestion of looking into getting the PC version of FFvii as its one hell of a story and requires very little Hand-eye stuff, but be warned there are mini games within the story that require it, such as a snowboard slide down a mountain at one point that requires doging stuff.

strategy games like the warcraft series are good, you take take your time to a certain extent, especially the latest that has a bigger element of story too.

dont be tempted by might and magic.

I think most of these games can be found in the bargain bin or online (the really old ones like Fallout 1 and 2 and BG I are rather hard to find)

I just so happen to have the first one for sale here along with Icewind Dale. The Fallout's and BG2 stuff went fast though.

Having pimped my FS/FT thread I will say that the BG series and the Fallout series are probably the two best RPG series I have played. For some reason even though it always got great reviews I never did manage to check out Planescape. Maybe I'll add that to my list of things to check out soon.

The storyline is so gripping & unique. The main character wakes up in a morgue, riddled with scars. Along side him is a floating, talking skull that seems to know more then he's letting on. Oh, & he cannot die. So his adventure begins.

The potential teammates/enemies are all so full of character. There is miles of dialog & quests to go through. Tons of optional quests aswell. It's just an amazing game. Such a shame that it got lost in the shuffle & didn't sell well first off. We'll probably never see a sequel either.

A warning about Hearts of Iron 2: If it's anything like the first, it will be incredibly detailed, which is good. However, when you combine it with real time, it can be a little overwhelming. All of the Paradox games are real time, not turn based. Sure, you can pause it whenever you want, but be warned it is not turn based. I haven't played #2, but the first one was pausable real time and I just couldn't get into it. I would love a true turn based version of Hearts of Iron and any of the other Paradox games.

While its not turn based I think it still gives you plenty of time . You can slow the speed down, and you can do all the time intesive stuff (research/production and things of that nature) while you are paused. Of course thats just me, I can see how it might bug others.

It is superior to the traditional turn based games in my opinion. I had the same feeling as you when I first got into Paradox Games, as I used to strictly play turn based strategy games because I never really liked the click-fests that RTS games tend to be..

In hearts of iron 2 here are I think 8 speed settings, so you can play it at a greuling slow pace or speed it up. You can also pause it at any time. So there's never any feeling of being rushed, and never any feeling that if only you can click things faster you'd be a better player- no way.

In traditional turn based games you always have to click a 'Next Turn' button, which is quite tedious when you're just trying to kill time waiting for research to complete or a unit to be built. Here you can let the game progress at whatever pace you're comfortable with, and in times of heavy fighting like right when the allies declare war on Germany you just pause it, take a deep breath and plan out your moves.

I just couldn't get used to it. I just felt like I never had control over the interface. Then again, when it comes to RTS I am a complete spaz. It was disappointing for me, too, as I really wanted to like that game.
