for number one most life like game i'll call a draw between HL2 and AOE3. for number 3 i'm between D3 and Far cry(They both seem to have a cartoonish type feel to me)

I agree Myst is rather impressive but unfortunately it is not real-time. If it were then hands down this would be the winner. I don't think you can get much better than reality .

Resident Evil games=pwnage, but not realtime

RE4 = real-time. And drop-dead gorgeous (er, well, something like that; maybe 'rise-from-the-dead disgusting' is more lik eit).

are you sure? the other RE games ive played for GC (i havent played RE4) were prerendered environments, but realtime characters and monsters. i think anyway

I dunno about current or upcoming games, but the game that impressed me the most at the time was Serious Sam. The models where decent but the vistas, sun flares, and general architecture was VERY cool. I remember impressing my friends with the game and still have a bunch of screen shots that somehow got saved regradless of numerous rebuilds, reinstalls, and HDD changes.

This is correct; RE4 is the first RE game to be fully rendered in real-time.

yeh i started playing farcry again the other day ( hadnt played it since i got my new pc in november ) - previously i was using a geforce2 ultra, and i thought it looked OK, but i could not see what all the fuss was about heh, with this X800XT PE.. IT IS FANTASTICLY beautiful, and extremely fun!!! i was playing from 7 till 9.30 tonight (which is a lot for me on single player games, they usually only hold me for about 30mins lol) and i plan to complete this game (one of the only game i will have ever completed on the pc ) Indeed, this game has the OMFG GORGEOUS factor imho

Someone on the Morrowind forums at www.gamefaqs.com said that they think it will have decent frame rates on a 3.4 GHz CPU and a 6800GT at high details at 10x7 or 12x10.
