There have been a lot of controversial films. Last Tango in Paris comes to mind, but it really depends on what sort of controversy you are looking for. Like clockwork, last tango was rated X. But it remained that way even years later, and even years later a lot of people find it controversial, whereas clockwork orange has lost some of its luster in terms of controversy (but not in terms of greatness!).

Yeah I placed KIDS into my original post awhile ago.
To the person asking about it - It was about kids who go around unknowingly carrying the AIDS virus and having sex. There was a big buzz about it when it first came out. depicting kids with aids and having sex?
