Motherboard - Graphic Card Compatibility

I am planning to buy EVGA GeForce 7600GS 512MB PCI Express x16 Video Card to play FEAR on my machine but I am not sure if my motherboard is compatible with it. How do I check that?

Is there a way to check what kind of motherboard I am using without opening the case? Silly me, the case is stuck and wont open... lol.

In general xoail, as long as you have a motherboard that has a PCI-Express slot at 16X, you shouldn't have any compatibility problems. But like Rottie said, it would help to know what sort of motherboard you have.

xoail: Download CPU-Z. It can tell you the processor, motherboard type, and memory type within your computer.

In cpu-z, Mainboard section, it doesnt say anything about the graphic interface. There is info on motherboad and bios but nothing for graphics interface.
Does that mean I cant use the card ?

No, sorry... I suggested using CPU-Z to see what sort of mainboard you had without having to open up the case. What sort of mainboard did cpu-z report you had?

Are you using a store bought / pre built PC ? Like HP...Compaq...Dell...Gateway etc :

If so, just tell us what it is....by the sticker on the rear I/O

Its Dell Optilex GX 260, if that helps.

First you have to tell us if you have an AGP or PCI-Express slot. Go back to CPU-Z and either post the name of the motherboard here or Google it and look for the specifications.

A quick Google search gives me the idea that the Optiplex GX260 is too old to have a pci-e slot. You should have an AGP slot, though.

Before you go out and buy an AGP card, though, make sure your processor can handle FEAR... the Optiplexes I'm pulling up aren't exactly too spritely.

This is what cpu-z tells me about motherboard:
