Motherboard half toast?

As if things weren't strange enough....

So I just rebooted my PC Today after installing the BT software for a Headset as I needed to send a quick tutorial video for someone.... So reboot and it wouldn't show anything on my Monitor at all.... Top fan stopped spinning and such?

So I turned off the PC. Reset the CMOS and the bios came up (top fan worked properly) with two bizarre issues....

One: iGPU settings are gone. As I use Intel's QuickSync.

Two only 8GB of Ram is showing. Two of the Memory slots aren't working but the Ram appears to be fine. As I swapped two them around to test.... I didn't swap the other two yet as I doubt that would cause the missing iGPU settings in the Bios?

Then I popped the Battery out. Same issue.... Tried re-flashing the bios.

This sucks as I was about to install the replacement SSD today....

I've never been this confused with a PC issue before?

I have an Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 on latest Bios and an Intel 2500K CPU. I keep my System on an UPS power supply.

Could be. I had an Asrock Z77 motherboard for many years, and instead of dying outright, it began having odd issues with the USB ports, very slow booting and shut downs, and then over time began having other issues up to the point they became too much to tolerate, so I replaced it. Same thing happened with my son's motherboard (I think it was a Z87 Asrock). I built him a PC in 2012 with it, and just a few months ago it began flaking out. I couldn't reset Windows or install an Intel wifi/bluetooth card in it. It began crashing randomly, so I replaced it. The wifi card worked perfectly on the replacement board, and all the other components were fine was well.

From my experience, motherboards and other components like PSUs simply start exhibiting problems and issues, and end up getting replaced from that instead of being replaced because they are totally dead. The problem with the age of your motherboard, you will likely only be able to find a used board to replace it if it turns out to be the problem (I think I have seen a few in the FS forum here lately).
