Motherboard Power Problem

I have this problem with my computer, that when I lose power(or pull the plug) when I attempt to turn the computer back on it will not boot. When this first occured I thought I had been struck by a power surge but after a day with the power disconnected the computer turned back on. I recently ran some diagnostics on my pc and discovered it was not the powersupply or CMOS battery, however if I disconnect the motherboard power and reconnect it the computer will instantly power on. If I don't do this it takes about a day for the computer to be able to turn on without messing with any plugs. The model of the motherboard is a soyo SY-CK8 DRAGON PLUS.

other system components:
Athlon 64 3200+
Antec powersupply 350 Watts
2 Disk Drives
ATI x800xl

ssssssss, mmm u probably need a better powersupply than the 350watt. ,, but the problem is ur mobo likely got damaged. most times with power surges that is the first thing that gets cracked on because it regulate power to the 3 largest suckers, cpu, gpu, ram.

with the ATI x800XL i think its likey you need a new power supply with the problem your encountering..

Its not the powersupply, Ive tested this with a geforce 2 and unplugged the dvd drive and it still results in the same problem

I have the same exact problem... But i will need to have it unpluged for 5 min or more to make it to boot up. Like mine when it showed no pic and the monitors said check PC setting all i needed to do was to push the bower button. and it instaly sshut off like it never completly booted. Like you said I have also tested the PSU,cmos battery and a diffrent graphics card but it did nto fix the problem. I am RMAing my mobo to MSI as we speak. and I will ether post back or PM you. if changeing the mobo fixed the problem
