<< I've been done my schooling now for a total of 10 months, and for the first time in my life I am almost consistently in a happy state. >>

Do you have a job? What do you do?

Since when do you have to study to get into a party school? For me the first month is a blast, then the projects and studying becomes overwhelming and I just study my ass off for the rest of the semester while thinking about all the hotties waiting for me next semester. . . . .

I agree. School sucks for the most part. Some classes keep me interested, but they're few and far between. Usually it's just because the class has a good teacher, same with HS, the teacher really makes the class. I've appreciated all the good teachers I've had, sometimes makes me think about maybe going to school for the rest of my life:Q. Yeah, I'm crazy...

School is suck.

I just goofed off during most of high school, skipped college, and went straight to work. After a couple years of being dirt poor I started making some OK money. Now I make quite a bit of money: I've purchased a couple nice cars, bought a house when I was 22, my wife can stay home with the kids and doesn't have to work to pay the bills, put money into retirement accounts, and we have plenty of money left over.

It has as much to do with motivation as it does formal education. Almost everyone you meet will tell you to "go to school, get a good education, get a good job", but I feel it's more important to do what's right for you, rather than what other people want you to do.

That attitude works for 1 in 100 people. For the rest of us school is important for one reason. You NEED that little slip of paper called a degree to get any good jobs these days. Your schooling will pay for itself. You only get one life to live, don't play the lottery and hope that you can be lucky like Bober or Bill Gates.

I went to HS everyday cuz frankly I had nothing else better to do. Had no money, nothing good on TV (for me). And my parents were around during the day. Now, I am at college and I can think of something useful I learned every single day I did go to school. Go to school, it makes coming home after school much more worthwhile.

Bober is right that determination is much of it, but lets face the fact that the vast majority of people have no significant income by the age of 22 and so why not spend those years productively? I hated school as well but I'm glad I went. That little piece of toilet paper - I mean the degree - does make a good impression on people (including employers).

Just go to school unless you want to work for shitass money for the rest of your life. BoberFett, that's isolated and not going to happen to everyone. Don't push this guy over the edge anymore than he already is...he needs some school! More importantly, he is smart so if he tried he could get a GOOD education and a good job.

|mpeg|, get your ass in gear. You'll want to go to college...and remember, college isn't ALL work, there is lots of fun too. don't f*ck up your life man..

Wow, i thought highschool was a blast... it's university that's the killer. No retaking of class here, skipping multiple classes is VERY BAD (nobody to hold your hand through lectures), and nobody cares if you pass or fail. Everything is so critical here, especially if you plan on going to grad school. Enjoy high school while you can, because at this age you don't have much responsibility.

Hold on all of you, if you tell everyone to go to school then who will ask if we would like fries with that?
Just joking, but if everyone does go to school then people who flip burgers will also have degrees.

So do what you want to, but don't look back, if you make a choice live by that choice and do the best that you can.

Oh ya hehe to add to my thread, I'll tell you about my last year. I had class at 7am and I would goto bed at 3am. So I wouldn't goto school and I missed around 20-25 days last year and graduated with a 3.5 w/ 3 honors classes. This year i only missed 2 days so far and I'm motivated to goto school everyday and try to get higher grades I guess. I'm not really looking foward to more work in college but oh well, as long as the chics come in flocks .

I only had 3 hours of class each day in high school senior year.
If your not a senior, take all required classes so your senior year can be like mine.
Study hard, college is really^10 hard. Half the people in my dorm are failing. But there is so much advantage graduating
