Then they get out and do the same things again cause they couldn't get a job and a real life if they tried anyway. Besides history is full of brutal imprisonment and it never changed anything, heck look at Bonnie and Clyde, Clyde was tortured by guards for years in prison and now he's historically infamous for the crimes he did after he got out. I don't remember what prison it was but the stories of what all went on there are nuts but you can't beat the crazy out of people, all you can do is make them more so.

To save people the trauma of watching it, a bike thief puts his hands on a cinder block where a guy with an axe cuts his fingers off. But doesn't get them all, so has to do it a second time, then a third, and at the end half the guy's hand is gone because the guy with the axe didn't aim terribly well.

Supercop cannot be bothered to sit around filing reports. There is much justice that needs to be served elsewhere.
