Speakers: front-facing and at bottom
What does that mean (a toddler could write that more clearly)? I have heard conflicting information about that, some say 1 some say 2.

I feel a lot better about the $500 price for the new motoX than the original's $600 price tag. It's not $400, but the new one is very competitive on specs compared to current Android flagships.

The new MotoG, OTOH, seems like an amazing deal. If they do a $250 version with LTE, then I'd think there's be very few reasons to go with something other than a MotoG.

Isn't Motorola also doing the nexus 6? What would the major differences be?

Looks like the metal band Moto 360 is not yet available. Do I pull the trigger on the leather band today? Hmm....

Edit: Why is the top bezel of the Moto X larger than the bottom bezel? They did this with the 1st one too. I don't understand why these companies go with these non-symmetric looks. Samsung and Apple seem to be the only ones that understand how much better a symmetric design looks.

I'd be pretty interested in the 32GB version of the new Moto X if it were priced at $500. I guess I can wait for the price drops...

$250 is decent pricing for the 360, imo. It is tempting but I think I need to see more videos of it doing things before I do anything. I have decided I want a smartwatch, and a round one running AW, but not sure between this and the LG R....

Looks like the 32gb version will be $550. I'm curious in either moto x or nexus 6. Can't really pick right now.

That's where I'm at too. Lots of leaked info and pics...but what really does it do

Oh and I checked the trade in value for my current Moto X 16gb on their website...

$60

Woo!:awe:

Still going for about $200 on Swappa. Need to see how much more awkward the size is on the new ones vs the 4.7" current gen. Will be interesting to see how size matches up to iPhone6 for physical dimensions.

The moto x wasn't bad ( a friend has one; i have a note 2) but the battery was a bit wimpy. I see they kept to wimpy battery which is a big negative to me... I wouldn't mind something marginally smaller than the note 2; but long battery life is a must.

Joshua Ho fixed his article, so it is confirmed, single front facing speaker.
Moto G > Moto X, for the "stereo front facing speakers" crowd.

Overall I am impressed with the engineering/design of the Moto X, but they had to make the battery small (and skip a speaker) in order to achieve it. Not sure I like that.

Not surprising at all. Even apple is moving up in screen size.

Er, what? Apple is moving to 4.7"/5.5". Moto X went to 5.2". But by doing so got larger and heavier. Which I personally think is a con considering how awesome the first gen Moto X is for one handed use.

The Moto X now joins the fray of 5"-5.2" flagships that aren't ideal for one handed use. They would have been better off keeping the screen 4.7" IMO.

Anything above 5.5 will be too big for most people. 4.7 to 5 is what most people are used to now.

I honestly think the Swappa market will be strong for first gen Moto X's now. I'm reading a lot of pushback online regarding version 2.0.

Having trouble understanding the aluminum band/signal loss part...is it implying that their custom chip was designed to mitigate the signal drop from hand capacitance and could've been even better if they had just stuck with polycarbonate like the original X?

The reviews on the 360 have said in a couple places that it does not last a single full day. Unfortunately for me, that's a deal breaker. I can live with the 2-3 days battery life of the Gear Fit and for a watch as attractive as the 360, I could have lived with 1 full day. But if a watch can't get from 6am to midnight, then it's useless and a deal breaker for me. <sad>

The X+1 looks like a very good phone at a very good price - the screen is probably Samsung's last gen AMOLED but everything else looks solid. I'm OK with 3 distinct size categories firming up for Android phones - 5.5" and above, 5-5.2", and 4.7". There certainly are no lack of options in the first 2 categories, and I understand some people being disappointed that there is one fewer option at the 4.7" category.

You quoted my reply which means you are directing something at me.

No need to take anything personal it's just a generalization that even if they are making the phone bigger, it's still not as big as the note 4, OPO, nexus 6, etc.
